We visited a very passionate merchant, Gilles.
Until two years ago, Gilles worked for a company that dealt with the media coverage of brands and personalities. Today, he is behind @le_comptoir_belge , a local grocery shop that sells only Belgian products. The idea of the shop is to find the best of what is made in Belgium. He chooses his products carefully and several criteria are taken into account: a good approach, proximity, respect for the product, the price and the customer. The main criteria is taste; Gilles does not buy average quality products. But what really makes him tick in his shop is the contact with people. In one sentence, for Gilles, the Comptoir Belge is a shop to please himself and people, all with a very local accent.
