It offers traditional Japanese food off the beaten track, no ramen or sushi's. But the story of @yoka.tomo is more than a restaurant.
Five years ago, Tomo arrived in Belgium as a ramen chef in a restaurant in Ixelles. There he often met Arnaud and Jérémie, first as customers, then as friends, and then as drinking buddies. They decide to open a Japanese restaurant in a small place near the Place des Chasseurs Ardennais. Their project gets delayed during the covid. To save their bar @copain.bar , Arnaud and Jéremie call on Tomo and sell bentos to go. The Yoka Tomo concept is launched. It was not until the end of the covid that the restaurant finally opened at the original location, Félix Marchallaan 26 in Schaerbeek.
