Today, we're off to Le Zinneke, a Brussels institution when it comes to mussels and chips.
Behind Le Zinneke is Eric (56) and a whole brigade in the dining room and kitchen. Originally, it was an Indonesian restaurant for which Eric was the wine and spirits supplier. In 1992, the owners' son changed the concept and created the Zinneke of today: a Belgo-Belgian restaurant. Eric took over the restaurant in 2011. His philosophy? To offer traditional, family-style Belgian cuisine that is organic and as local as possible. Everything is done to make sure you have a good time in a warm atmosphere.
If we go to Le Zinneke, beyond their atmosphere, it is mainly for their menu where you can find 69 excellent preparations of mussels, all of which come with unlimited portions of chips.
